It’s unanimous. The hottest trend this summer is definitely hot pink eye shadow. It’s bold AF, unapologetic and commands the rest of your face beat to sit down and be humble. Selena Gomez worked a hot pink eye look at the 2017 Met Gala and since then, others have really working it, or should I say pink eye shadow’s been working them?
Hot Pink is not as scary as you might think. First for the best application, with a great eye primer like Younique’s Moodstruck Mineral Eye Primer. I really find that it’s specifically made to hold and intensify your eye makeup for long-lasting, smooth application. Pick a transition colour like Younique’s Arrogant or Brave from palette 4 or make a more impactful transition with a rust or orange pigment. Two that I think would work well are Zakiya or Kogi from The Magic Palette from Juvia’s. Apply this transition colour in your crease and outer edges blending inward and downward to your lash line. Then apply any scalding shade of pink you can find to your lower lid. I love Victorious and Sarcastic from Younique’s Moodstruck addiction palette 5. Make sure to take your time blending the transition line between both colours. Et voilà!
