Rosalyn C. Moch is my latest found gem on social media. I’m going to be honest, it was her hair game that caught my attention before her makeup. Her hair styles and colors are tight. Everything about her style is bold and elegant… sexy and precise. Looking at her work proves that it takes more than color selection and skill. Time after time, photo after photo along with vibrancy and SHAZAM, there’s always consistency.
Up until 2 years ago, Rosalyn was a U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman Radiologic Technologist (X-ray Tech). Brains and beauty. After serving her country for 14 years, this makeup maven decided to explore her fascination with cosmetics and become a certified MUA. She attended The Makeup School by Sarah Rillon in Virginia Beach VA. where she excelled in the application of makeup for bridal and special events. Rosalyn has spent the last few years expanding her knowledge of makeup, cosmetic brands, marketing and the beauty industry. Her love of makeup stems from her strong belief that beauty is the art of expression. “It’s much more than a nice eye shadow or a favorite lip gloss. Makeup is an avenue for self-expression and its possibilities are endless.”
She has always been passionate about makeup and the beauty industry. Although she was permitted to wear makeup while serving her country, the palette she used had to be natural. “There’s nothing wrong with neutral makeup, but because I see makeup as a form of self-expression, I’m drawn to the playfulness of color. Vibrant makeup reflects who I really am.” Although she currently works for MAC, she’s an avid user of other brands and is constantly trying new products and adding to her makeup artillery.
For Moch, being good at what she does means connecting to her clients, and like an x-ray, she uses makeup to reveal the beauty that she believes is inside everyone. The confidence her clients feel comes from what her makeup applications show them about themselves.
